Story 1

The woman stared blankly outside her window. It's all dark, nothing but complete darkness. On her lap, lied open, a book from Paulo Coelho "eleven minutes".

She couldn't help but felt drawn. Something she had known for very long but always rejected, had finally taken her down. A tear fell slowly from her eyes, streaming down her face, right onto the book open page.

She was a strong woman, been through sacrifice and suffering, but always managed to stand up back on her own feet. Or at least she looked at herself that way; she had to, otherwise she might end up loosing her sanity and dignity. But this time she lost; lost to the battle in her heart. And she could not, just not able to anymore, pretend that she was strong, when she was completely weak. This moment she could not deceive anyone, as she had done so greatly for many years.

Yes she must admit, though rejection had become her habit. Staring back at the open page, she run her fingers very slowly across a sentence, touching every single word, trying to absorb the meaning... "This man knows how to write", she told herself softly. Suddenly she closed the book and threw it to the floor. Her eyes moved back to the open window and she talked to the darkness quietly but with pure confidence and pain, "I do Maria. I do too. I love him more when he is not present in my life. But I hate him most when he is not absent."

Inspirasi...

What have inspired you the most?

udah lama gue gak ngisi blog ini, tiba2 pengen nulis soal inspirasi...
kayaknya setiap orang pasti pernah terinspirasi by something somewhere one time

gue inget banget, first inspiration for me, was the movie "Dead Poets Society". I watched it with lot of friends on my 14th birthday (oh God! so long ago...). waktu itu gue masih SMP dan lagi sebel-sebelnya sama beberapa guru SMP. gak salah dong, kalo gue bener2 kagum sama sosok Robin Williams di situ... the best teacher is the one who can motivate his/her students without giving them pressure...

yang kedua, waktu gue ikut youth energy symposium di houston. gue bener2 kagum sama the way they treated students... "You are the future leaders!" they said. coba kalo di Indo jaman itu, ugh susah banget nyari industri yang mau nerima mahasiswa...

yang seterusnya on my list:
- movie Scent of A Woman --> dance tango nya Al Pacino!
- movie Band of Brothers
- movie Star Wars --> asik banget rasanya kalau bisa punya "the Force"....hehehehe...
- movie Life is Beautiful
- buku2 serinya Enid Blyton --> wah, kalo inget ini dulu, gara2 buku2nya ibu satu ini, gue pernah punya cita2 jadi petualang. sebenarnya sih sampe sekarang gue masih punya obsesi buat dapet kerjaan yang bisa keliling dunia gratis...hehehehe.... trus kebanyakan kan Enid jg terinspirasi cerita Robinson Crusoe. Eh baru kemarin gue akhirnya bisa beli buku Robinson Crusoe itu...tapi kok sekarang bawaannya udah males bacanya ya....

thanks for barkah, vidi, ime yang sempet rame2 diskusiin bukunya Paulo Coelho "The Alchemist" ...gue jadi pengen baca juga... ternyata bukunya emang cukup bisa kasih inspirasi...
